We start the day with Alinda, one of the ancient cities where King Mausolos’ sister Ada was exiled by her younger brother Pixodarus. Greek influence in Caria increased during the island’s reign. It was an important Carian city with its agora, theater and acropolis. Gerga is another impressive settlement with 3 meter high statues lying on the ground. Whether it is a city or a sanctuary still remains a mystery.
