A holiday in Bodrum is about more than sea and sunshine. Historic streets, ancient cities, small seaside towns, sunsets and Aegean dinners are all part of the experience. With Blue Dreams Resort — right by the sea in Torba — as your base, we’ve put together a calm, enjoyable and packed 3-day Bodrum plan that lets you discover the many faces of Bodrum without wearing yourself out.
Day 1 | To the Heart of Bodrum
Morning: Start the day at Blue Dreams
Enjoy an unhurried breakfast. Spend the first part of the day at the hotel enjoying the sea and the resort, then head towards Bodrum town centre. Blue Dreams Resort is about 10 km from the centre of Bodrum.
Midday: Bodrum Castle and the Museum of Underwater Archaeology
Your first stop is Bodrum Castle. Touring the Museum of Underwater Archaeology inside the castle afterwards is a great way to get a close look at Bodrum’s history, so closely intertwined with the sea.
Afternoon: Bazaar and seafront stroll
After leaving the castle, walk towards the Bodrum bazaar. Wander the narrow streets, browse the little shops and take a short break along the harbour.
Early evening: The Ancient Theatre
Round off the day at the Ancient Theatre of Bodrum. Dating back to the 4th century BC, the theatre overlooks the town and offers a beautiful view, especially in the late afternoon.
Evening: Back to Torba
After exploring the centre, return to Blue Dreams Resort. Save the evening for dinner at the hotel, sea views and relaxation.
Day 2 | From Yalıkavak to Gümüşlük
On the second day, head west across the peninsula. This route is ideal for anyone who wants to combine lively, modern Yalıkavak in the morning with the calmer atmosphere of Gümüşlük in the evening.
Morning: Yalıkavak Marina
After breakfast, set off for Yalıkavak. Stroll around the marina and discover the yachts, boutiques and restaurants. Blue Dreams Resort’s official guide lists Yalıkavak Marina at about 18 km away.
Midday: A break in Yalıkavak
Spend the lunch hours here. Give yourself time for a long lunch or a coffee break with a view of the sea.
Afternoon: On to Gümüşlük
From Yalıkavak, turn your route towards Gümüşlük. In this seaside village, built on the remains of ancient Myndos, the pace slows down noticeably.
Sunset: Gümüşlük waterfront
Walk along the shore in Gümüşlük and watch the sunset here. Dinner by the water — especially Aegean mezes and seafood — may well be the highlight of the route.
Night: Back to Blue Dreams
After the evening, return to Torba. Renting a car or using a private car/taxi for this day makes getting around between Yalıkavak and Gümüşlük much easier.
Day 3 | A Little Exploring, A Little Sea
Rather than trying to see all of Bodrum, it’s a good idea to take the last day a little slower. After all, enjoying your stay at Blue Dreams Resort is an important part of the holiday too.
Morning: Beach time at Blue Dreams Resort
After breakfast, spend time on the hotel’s 300-metre-long sand and pebble beach. Relax by one of the pools, swim from the piers, or set aside some time for the spa and wellness areas.
Afternoon: Bitez
If you’d like to see a bit more of Bodrum, head to Bitez in the afternoon. With its calm, shallow sea, Bitez is family-friendly and also a great choice for anyone into windsurfing and water sports.
Evening: The holiday finale
There are two options for your last evening: a short evening trip to Bodrum centre, or returning to Blue Dreams Resort to wrap up your holiday with sea views, a lovely dinner and some rest.
Getting Around | The Easiest Way to Travel
Blue Dreams Resort’s location in Torba makes it a convenient starting point for exploring Bodrum town and the different corners of the peninsula. According to the hotel’s official information, Bodrum town centre is 10 km away, Yalıkavak 18 km and Milas–Bodrum Airport 25 km.
Travelling by private car or taxi to Bodrum centre and nearby areas is practical. For those who want to visit stops on the western side of the peninsula, such as Yalıkavak and Gümüşlük, on the same day, a rental car offers more flexibility. From the airport, private transfers, taxis and car rental are all available.
A Final Note
The best thing about exploring Bodrum is not trying to squeeze everything into a single day. Swim in a bay in the morning, touch history at an ancient theatre in the afternoon, and end the day by the sea in Torba.
